Rapid One-Off Design and Build Project

During the construction of the Underground Link to the new Heathrow Terminal 5 the contractors had to install a number of heavy cables within the tunnels. 

Unfortunately, a temporary ventilation system installed to keep the tunnels supplied with fresh air during the construction works meant that there was not enough room for existing cable handling equipment.

Shown here carrying a test load during brake testing at our factory is the result.  In just two and a half weeks we were able to design, build, test and deliver a purpose built cable laying rail trailer allowing the cable installation work to be completed on schedule.
